It is especially suitable for long winter or autumn evenings, hot drinks are most popular in Great Britain and Scandinavian countries. This hot drink is usually prepared from red wine with the addition of sugar and spices, cinnamon and cloves. Rum, cognac, liqueurs, lemons are sometimes added to mulled wine, but in such quantities that these additives do not change the taste of the drink, but give it a more pleasant aroma.

Classic mulled wine
To prepare the drink you will need:
— table red wine — 750 ml
- cloves - 6-7 pieces
- nutmeg to taste
- water -1/3 cup
- sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
Take cloves, ground nutmeg, pour it into a Turk, add water, bring it to a boil and cook for another minute. After this, the broth should be left to brew for 10-15 minutes. Pour the wine into a saucepan and put it on the fire. When it has become warm, pour the contents of the Turk into it and add one tablespoon of sugar. In no case should the wine be brought to a boil. It is better to remove it when it is quite hot. After this, the mulled wine should either be immediately poured into cups or poured into a ceramic teapot.
