International Students' Day is celebrated on November 17 and January 25.

History of the holiday:

The holiday is associated with youth, romance and fun, but its history, which began in Czechoslovakia during World War II, is associated with tragic events.

On October 28, 1939, in Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia, Prague students and their teachers demonstrated to mark the anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak state (October 28, 1918). Occupiers broke up the demonstration, and medical student Jan Opletal was shot dead.

The funeral of Jan Opletal on November 15, 1939, once again turned into a protest. Dozens of demonstrators were arrested. On November 17, the Gestapo and SS surrounded the student dormitories early in the morning. More than 1,200 students were arrested and imprisoned in the concentration camp in Sachsenhausen. Nine students and student activists were executed without trial in the prison dungeons of Prague's Ruzyně district. By order of Hitler, all Czech universities were closed until the end of the war. In honor of these events, the World Students' Congress established International Students' Day. Today, it is celebrated in many countries around the world. In Ukraine, November 17 has been celebrated as Students' Day since 1999, according to a decree of the president.

Thus, in Ukraine, two Student Days are celebrated: one coinciding with the International Day (November 17) and Tatiana's Day, the day of the Great Martyr Tatiana, the patron saint of all students (January 25). This is very convenient, because one Student Day is celebrated on the eve of the session, and the other - after its completion. The celebration of Student Day is held with the assistance of the Ministry of Ukraine for Family, Youth and Sports, with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Committee on Education and Science of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and includes a number of educational, social and cultural-artistic events for young people and with their participation.

A student has two holidays - Student's Day and today. And if today –Student's Day, then the holiday will be simply magical. Such a day X is coming January 25 - V Tatyana's Day. It's good if at this time all the "tails" are already closed and you can have a great time. But this is not always the case.

The typical student is neither a particularly religious being nor a completely atheistic one. But twice a year he calls upon higher powers for help. The session decides everything!

So, The main signs of students during exam sessions:

Sign 1. Pre-session student prejudices claim: if you wash your hair before an exam, or cut your hair during the session, expect trouble. After all, when washing your hair, a student washes out all the information he has read from his brain, where it has been so laboriously rammed. And if you have the urge to cut your hair, you will completely lose contact with space, and satellites will stop transmitting intellectual messages.

Sign 2. Many students believe in the telepathic abilities of their comrades, relatives, acquaintances (preferably pregnant ones), so they ask them to name the numbers of questions that will appear on the exam. Practice confirms that this method often works, but still do not get too hung up on it, it is worth reading other questions.

Sign 3. There is a theory that you shouldn't leave a book open overnight because all the scientific content will evaporate (if there was any there, of course).

Sign 4. The greatest number of prejudices are towards the beginning of a new day on the eve of an exam. This is easy to explain, because it is from the first second of the fateful day that all the strings of the soul break, all the fibers of the soul become hypersensitive, and the brain capitulates and raises the white flag. That is why students like to call Ball.

Ball (from student slang - "grace") - an unreal, astral, still not sufficiently studied substance, which in an unknown way and according to an incomprehensible principle of student selection helps in the exam.

There are several ways of invocation Balls:

Method 1. At midnight, stand on the windowsill, lean half out of the slightly open window, holding your record book in your right hand (leftists in their left), and yell at the top of your lungs: "Shara, come!" (Repeat three times). After that, quickly close the window, since it is considered a bad sign to hear a voice in response. Expect the biggest failures when a friendly bass voice, pretending Sharoy, will shout: "I won't come-e-e!"

Method 2At midnight, go out into the corridor, look around and sweep the trash onto the record book.

Method 3. At midnight, pour sugar (preferably not vanilla or refined sugar) into the record book and tie it with a bright ribbon. Just before giving the book to the teacher, take the ribbon away and pour the sugar out (preferably not on the teacher).Ball, attracted by the sugar, will not have time to jump out. But make sure that the sugar is not wet, otherwise not only will it not spill out, but you will NOT open the record book at all.
Sign 5. After the manipulations with the test book, a restful sleep is recommended. This can be achieved by putting the textbooks and notes you used to prepare for the exam under your pillow. After all, the chakras open at night, and the student absorbs a few more megabytes of information. Some, in order to sleep easier, put only the list of questions for the exam under their pillow.

Sign 6. In the morning, when leaving home, a student should put a nickel under the left heel of his shoe. This custom is apparently outdated, since for the 100-point system, a nickel may not be enough. Therefore, since a hundred kopecks take up a lot of space in a shoe, it is worth putting a hundred hryvnia right away, and preferably not under the heel.

Sign 7. It is recommended to step over the threshold of the classroom with your right foot, take the ticket with your right hand, and it is better to do this when the teacher is not looking in your direction (by the way, try to take it with your left hand and choose the one that is easier).

Sign 8. It is believed that the success of a student's answer depends not only on him, but also on his friends, who keep their fists up when he answers, and remember him with a "slow, quiet word." It is worth asking them about it.

Sign 9. If a student successfully passes the first exam, then one must not allow others' eyes to enviously drink in his record book. This will bring about failures in the following exams.

Sign 10. It is also recommended not to study all night and under no circumstances to wash down coffee with valerian. Otherwise, the student risks not only failing the exam, but also not getting into it at all.

But they say that Ball most often comes to those students who teach. And then the only bad omen will be when a black cat with empty buckets runs across the road and breaks a mirror with them. And let Student's Day it will be fun.
