12 Movies That Will Make Your Head Spin

Perfect for the weekend!
If you are one of those people who love puzzle movies, then we have this wonderful list of masterpieces for you that will make you rack your brain. These films can be put in the same rank as “The Truman Show”, “A Beautiful Mind” or “Fight Club”…
Others (2001).
One of the most mystical films of 2001, which will keep you in suspense until the very end. According to the plot, the main character Grace (Nicole Kidman) takes her sick children to a mansion on one of the islands off the coast of England to wait for the end of World War II, from which her husband should return. But her daughter and son suffer from a strange disease: they cannot stand direct daylight.
When three new servants arrive in the house, they must learn a vital rule: all rooms must always be in semi-darkness, and no door can be opened until the previous one is locked.
Why? The answer is at the very end.
The Life of David Gale (2002).
A respectable intellectual, teacher and ardent opponent of the death penalty (Kevin Spacey) by a bitter twist of fate finds himself on death row for murder and rape. All the evidence is against him, and in order for the truth to come to light, he asks a young and ambitious journalist (Kate Winslet) to look into his case.
An unusually interesting film, with a dizzying plot and development of events.
Obsession (2004).
"Obsession" is a subtle and intriguing film. It seems that if you take another step away, it will be either uninteresting or unpleasant to watch. However, this does not happen. On the eve of an important business trip, successful financier Matthew notices his ex-girlfriend Lisa, who mysteriously disappeared two years ago, in a restaurant. Forgetting everything, Matthew sets out on a path of deception and suspicion to track her down.
While trying to solve the puzzle with the help of mysterious clues, he accidentally meets another girl - her name is also Lisa and, perhaps, she knows the secret of the strange disappearance.
Taking Lives (2004).
Canada, Quebec. A mysterious maniac kills several people. Local police officers involve FBI agent Illeana Scott (Angelina Jolie) in the investigation. Soon, it becomes clear that the killer likes to live someone else's life: use the victim's credit cards, walk around his apartment, pay his taxes. An unwitting witness to the latest murder, artist Costa (Ethan Hawke), volunteers to help the investigation, but will they be able to catch the elusive maniac?
Fracture (2007).
The plot unfolds quite trivially at first. A deceived husband (Anthony Hopkins) tries to kill his wife. A young prosecutor (Ryan Gosling), who already has one foot in another, more prestigious and highly paid job, takes on the case, especially since everything is so obvious and clear - there is a confession from the husband himself. However, not everything is so simple, and gradually the easy, at first glance, case crumbles to dust before our eyes.
Shutter Island (2009).
"Shutter Island" is definitely a mind-blowing movie. Steep cliffs, a storm, abandoned buildings, cells for especially dangerous prisoners - what else do you need to send shivers down your spine? An unpredictable plot. So, America, 1950s.
Two federal marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Ole, are sent to an ocean island, on the territory of which there is a psychiatric hospital for especially dangerous criminals. They have to investigate the disappearance of one of the patients of the hospital.
It soon becomes clear that something mysterious is happening within the walls where the main characters are...
Exam (2009).
From the very first minutes, the film only begins to explain the meaning of what is happening: eight candidates for a successful and prestigious job - only one will pass. However, not everything is so simple. Each of them must answer a single question. But there is only one problem - no one heard the question itself. Guess who will remain and what was the question?
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009).

There is much debate about which version is better - the Swedish or the Hollywood version from 2011. But the original is still the original. Besides, the Swedish version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is not as glossy as the American one.
So, according to the plot, talented journalist Mikael Blomkvist unexpectedly suffers a fiasco in his work, as a result of which he is forced to serve a prison term. At the same time, an influential person, Henrik Vanger, entrusts him with the case of the disappearance of his niece, who mysteriously disappeared from the family estate. Being a skeptic, Mikael does not believe in luck at first, but gradually, with the help of the "hacker in a skirt" Lisbeth Salander, he discovers a complicated and terrifying story associated with this family.
Black Swan (2010).
This film is worth watching at least to enjoy Natalie Portman's performance. It is not for nothing that this particular film in her filmography was awarded an Oscar.
The plot revolves around a prima ballerina who suddenly gets a dangerous rival who is capable of taking all the roles away from the main character. She needs to change her face on stage, but she changes it in life as well. Another proof that perfectionism is not always useful.
The Best Offer (2012).
An adventure thriller centered on elderly Virgil Oldman, the managing director of a leading auction house. Together with his old partner, he has already pulled off hundreds of scams, and now his house has a secret room containing hundreds of portraits of women painted by great masters of different eras.
One day, a mysterious woman bursts into his life, begging him to evaluate her enormous property, which was left after the death of her parents. Throughout the film, it seems that the solution is very close, but the director cleverly entangles the invisible threads of the plot, misleading everyone around him.
Now You See Me (2013).
The Four Horsemen are magicians who sell out their shows and also commit unimaginable robberies. With their tricks, of course.
The police and secret services are confused, because they do not believe in magic. This is where the detective story begins: are the magicians really so skillful in performing tricks or are they simply fooling people? Or maybe there are actually five "horsemen"?
Gone Girl (2014).
If you missed this David Fincher hit based on Gillian Flynn's novel, catch up now.
Everything was ready for the celebration of the five-year wedding anniversary of the main characters Nick and Amy, when suddenly the spouse disappears. Contacting the police does not help much, rather, the situation even worsens. For some reason, the evidence begins to point to Nick himself. But... let's not reveal all the cards.
