Candied strawberries. For dessert and decoration.

 

Strawberries are a delicious, aromatic berry that makes our mouths water when we remember them. They are not only tasty, but also a useful source of vitamins. Their berries are rich in vitamins A and E, B vitamins, and only black currants have more vitamin C. The benefits of strawberries are enormous, so at the height of the berry season, it is necessary to stock up on the fruit in order to receive a sufficient amount of vitamins throughout the year.

Ingredients:

1 kg strawberries,
800 g sugar,
1 liter of water.
Dissolve sugar in water and bring to a boil.

Preparation:

Place the berries in boiling syrup and cook for about 10 minutes. Place in a colander and let the syrup drain.

After this, place the strawberries on a baking sheet and put them in the oven at a temperature of 35-45 degrees and keep them there until the surface of the berries is well dried, but the fruits do not lose their elasticity.

Place the prepared candied fruits in sterilized glass jars and roll up.

Such strawberries can be a wonderful filling for pies, you can make compote from them, decorate a cake or just enjoy them.
