It has become known which products slow down brain aging

Scientists have found that following a diet called MIND really does help slow down brain aging and reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

The corresponding article was published in the journal Alzheimer's & Dementia. The study involved 960 people, whose average age was 81.4 years. People were observed for 4.7 years. The scientists' goal was to find out how following a diet called MIND affects the aging process of the brain and the deterioration of its cognitive function, as well as the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

An analysis of the health of those on the diet showed that their brains aged more slowly: they were 7.5 years “younger” than the brains of the other participants in the experiment. The risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease was also reduced in these subjects. Scientists report that the MIND diet includes leafy and fruit vegetables, whole grains, nuts, legumes and fresh berries. In addition, people are advised to drink one glass of red wine daily, eat poultry at least twice a week and fish once a week.
