An exquisite dessert - caramelized oranges in chocolate.

Do I even need to mention the aroma that fills the house? That's why I love this recipe!
This original orange dessert is a lifesaver.
It can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time, it will always stay fresh!
Ingredients:
4-6 oranges (depending on size)
600 g sugar
300 ml of water
250 g dark chocolate
Preparation:
1. Cut the oranges into slices about 5 mm thick. Thicker - it will be bitter, thinner - the middle will fall apart.
2. Boil a pot of water, dip the orange slices into the boiling water for about 3-4 minutes. Drain the water, squeeze the oranges (this will get rid of the bitterness).
3. Heat 300 ml of water with sugar until it dissolves, put the squeezed oranges into the syrup and cook over low heat for about 1 hour - until the orange peel becomes transparent (or almost transparent).
4. Remove the mugs, let the excess liquid drain, place on a baking sheet and dry for about 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 100-120C. Cool.
At this stage, we already get a very valuable thing - caramelized oranges, which can be used in baking, or simply eaten with tea.
5. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, dip the orange circles halfway into the melted chocolate, place them on baking paper or a silicone mat until the chocolate hardens. Please… don’t put them in the refrigerator to make it harden faster, give them time! And the rest of the syrup goes very well with unsweetened yogurt…
Bon appetit!
