How to Recover Quickly After a Long Sleepless Night

There is no particular need to explain why you need to help your body survive January 1st. So, let's get straight to the point. We have collected for you 5 simple but effective rules on how to survive the first day of the new year.
Take a contrast shower
It will wake you up no worse than an alarm clock, but it will also do so with benefit for the body. Sharp changes in cold and hot temperatures will send a signal to the brain: “Wake up, it’s time!” No need to go to extremes: everyone has their own perception of a comfortable temperature, there is no point in deliberately freezing or scalding. Three temperature changes (half a minute each) are enough. For the best effect, finish the procedure with cold water. And don’t forget about a bottle of thermal water, which you will need to refresh your face with for the rest of the day, so that you don’t feel sleepy and your skin restores its thermal balance.

Don't forget to moisturize
Admit it, there was no talk of any night cream before you went to bed in the morning after New Year's Eve. And in general, it's good if you at least remembered to remove your makeup. Therefore, after waking up in the new year, you need to scoop up a generous hand from a jar of moisturizing cream. Which, before "using", you need to put in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. This will also have a refreshing, invigorating effect.

Find a scent to suit your mood
It will help you forget about the desire to go back to bed for the whole long day of January 1. Perhaps it was given to you last night. Or maybe it will be the smell of tangerines, the supply of which in your house will last for a long time. Or this “aroma of the day” will be freshly brewed coffee… It really does raise your fighting spirit. However, for some people both the drink and its smell have the opposite effect: lethargy and drowsiness appear. It’s good that there are proven smells that will definitely not let you down. These are any citrus fruits and mint. Put orange or menthol shower gel in the bathroom or apply a few drops of essential oil to your wrist so that the invigorating aroma does not leave you throughout the day.

Make yourself a light breakfast
We understand that it is almost impossible to think about food today. But your body still needs to eat. The right food, of course. Therefore, the menu should be light but nutritious. Eat low-fat yogurt and a handful of nuts or some muesli. Make an awakening juice from fruits and berries rich in vitamin C - orange, grapefruit, black currant, kiwi, guava. Drink a cup of coffee (on special occasions - and this is exactly it - the usual dose can be increased by one and a half times) or brew ginger, lemon and honey. Give up sugar and dessert: glucose suppresses activity.

Move more
Because I'm lazy and don't want to. A sleepy state slows down the synthesis of adrenaline. Activity, on the contrary, promotes the release of the most "energetic" hormone. But active physical exercise like running, cycling or zumba will deprive you of your last strength. Therefore, go sledding or skating. To saturate your brain with oxygen, it is advisable to walk for an hour in the park.
